Safety is what’s most important to us at OnSide, and we’re committed to helping you, your team, and anyone that you work with, stay safe too.
We’ve created a mobile app that provides everyone on your property with a view of any risks. It’s workplace safety that works the way you do - whether you’re by your computer or outside getting things done.
OnSide takes the hassle out of health and safety. There’s no more paper, and risks are more visible; making them easier to manage. OnSide is the low-cost tool to help you meet your obligations under Health and Safety legislation, and keep your team and visitors safe.

Being a large property, the logistics of physically providing an up-to-date map of hazards is impractical for us. We are also developing the farm, so paper systems quickly become out of date.

How it began
It's fair to say we've got farming in our blood. So the idea for OnSide came about after years of frustration trying to make standard, paper-based health and safety systems work on our farms. But the tools to do this were so impractical, and not at all designed for outdoor workplaces.
So in March 2015, we began working on a practical, health and safety solution for outdoor workplaces using the latest technology available to us.
The name OnSide combines the concept of doing the right thing (staying "onside") and using a technology-based solution that is always “ON” and available when and where you need it.
We needed to make sure we created a tool that works the way you need it too, so we talked and listened to farmers, growers, contractors and managers, and collaborated with health and safety experts and leaders in the rural sector.
We are really proud of OnSide, but we've only just begun! We’re really excited about continuing to improve our product to deliver a system that makes health and safety easy for you and your team.
We’ve worked closely with our technology partner, Jade Software, to build a user friendly tool that we know you’ll love.

As a team, we have extensive farming experience, a strong business track record, hands-on health and safety leadership, a passion for trying new things, and a commitment to helping our customers improve their safety.
Michael Falconer
Michael has a background in investment banking and senior management across a wide range of industries including farming, forest products and technology. Health and safety has been a core aspect of Michael’s leadership roles
Juliet Maclean
Juliet is a recognised leading dairy farmer with significant governance, leadership and operational experience. She is a founding partner of Synlait, Nuffield scholar, and a health and safety enthusiast.
Ryan Higgs
Ryan has a science and farming background and has held various innovation roles in the dairy sector. Ryan’s interest is in developing a practical tool that makes rural health and safety management easy.
